Graduation was blah, Mr. Remy spoke and Chanel & I almost started crying (,:

Hunger Games theme was all Kyla’s idea. It turned out AMAZING for just about 3 weeks of preparation, but with about 10-15 kids working regularly on the decorations and designs PLUS all the Art students’ help, we did it! For the capitol, there was chandeliers, cityscapes, and district banners all around the DJ’s area. Also there was the CAVE!In the little hallway leading to the cafeteria was draped in black cloth and branches, with fake little bugs and lizards in them. Next there was the photo area. For that, we did Peeta & Katniss’s chariot (fancily decorated supply cart). There was also like little golden cardboard mockingjays hanging about.

The dance was absolutely crazy, and I loved it. I especially love my sister, we’re both on the same page <3 She “chaperoned” for like 5 minutes and left because my crazy mother think’s I’m gonna get drunk and get preggo! but whatever. My favorite part was the free food outside ;) ahhaha. There, I had my first cake pop! 8) Miranda is amaaaazing. And, of course, the usual filipino party food: pancit, lumpia, puto! So on to the dance, we had DJ MARK! He played current songs and everybody danced got the cafeteria all sweaty, I LOVED it! AND also since there was just the 8th (now 9th!) graders, there was no screaming every time a new song played and it was very refreshing. (: haha and during the slow songs (First Dance-JB!), Emily, Kat and I “sang” to the couples dancing because we’re dumb hahaha. The last song was We Are Young - Fun. Then, the lights were on and we all filed out… with the cake.
